‘Mollusc’ by John Makepeace

A large washed English oak desk for a banker's country home.  The wrap-round form has a shell-like quality.  Built around a curved central beam to which the three legs connect.  The washed oak has a texture like that of oak exposed to the weather. The engraved lines give a tactile quality like the riffling on a gun butt.
