‘Leaf’ by John Makepeace

 

 A dining table in English holly and washed oak.  The main holly leg flows into the lobed leaf shape of the top, and continues as veins dividing the top into ten areas, each to accommodate one person.  The second and third legs emerge from the central vein.

This Welsh oak dining table was made by a craftsman around 1700 and is still in regular use, Alan Peter’s dining table & chairs is in its 25th year and is an antique of the future.
