Most furniture makers are acutely conscious of the source of their basic material – wood. Timber is an infinitely renewable resource and many makers replant as a matter of course.

Most timber is sourced locally, keeping ‘green miles’ to a minimum.

The majority of workers live and work in rural areas, providing employment and sustenance to these threatened environments.

Most importantly their products will give pleasure for years to come, as they add value and durability by design and craftsmanship,
